Set Up Begins In…
Join the Bentleyville team on the first day of set up, September 26th, 2026, at 8:30 AM. Coffee and donuts will be provided in the morning, and lunch will be served in the afternoon!

Volunteers must be 16+ (or attend with a parent/guardian). All skill levels are welcome! Volunteers will work under the guidance of Bentleyville team leaders.

Behind the Magic
Ever wonder what it takes to turn Bayfront Festival Park into Bentleyville? It’s more than just lights and decorations — it’s a massive team effort! Our volunteers spend thousands of hours setting up, hanging miles of cords, climbing tall displays, and unloading hundreds of truckloads of festive gear. From start to finish, it’s a whirlwind of teamwork, dedication, and a little bit of holiday magic — all thanks to the amazing people who make Bentleyville shine.
It takes over 1,200 volunteer hours just to set up Bentleyville each season!
Volunteers will string 15 miles of lights to create the magic at Bentleyville!
Setup takes about 8 weeks — rain, snow, or shine, our volunteers are out there making magic happen.
Putting Display Together
Volunteers help assemble and arrange the light displays.
Painting
Volunteers assist with painting various props and decorations to help bring the Bentleyville displays back to life.
Setting up the store
Volunteers help set up the Bentleyville store, organizing merchandise & stocking shelves.
Building Tunnels
Volunteers assist in constructing tunnels. This includes assembling frames, attaching lights, and ensuring the tunnels are secure.
Moving Steel
Volunteers help transport and position steel materials needed for Bentleyville displays. This includes lifting and carrying.
Untangling Lights
Volunteers help untangle and organize strands of lights to ensure they’re ready for use in Bentleyville’s displays
